2022 Dental Risk Management Seminar

Please join us for the MedPro Risk Management Seminar and/or OSHA Course

Our annual Dental Risk Management seminar will take place on Friday, October 7, 2022.

This year’s dental seminar topic will be: Dental Risk Management Practices That Control and Reduce Malpractice Exposure.  Robert S. Thompson, RT, JD, MBA, LLM(DR), AIC, ARM, ARe, RPLU, CPCU will begin this claim-based educational program with an overview of the current dental malpractice environment, including issues specific to the state of Wisconsin. He also discusses the main risk management issues related to dental malpractice including informed consent, patient and team communication, follow-up system failures, jousting, patient selection and adverse outcome disclosure.

We will be offering a 2 hour OSHA course following the seminar. Katherine Schrubbe, RDH, BS, MEd, PhD, will be presenting OSHA and Infection Control in the Post-Pandemic Era. Dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and all dental team members will update compliance knowledge based on OSHA/CDC requirements by attending this. Dental Risk Management Seminar: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
OSHA Course: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Registration Fee for Dental Risk Management Seminar:

Dentists: $50
Staff: $25

Registration Fee for OSHA Course:

Dentists & Staff: $25

Optional sandwich lunch will be available following the Dental Risk Management Practices That Control and Reduce Malpractice Exposure seminar for an additional $15 fee. Lunch must be purchased in advance.

Attend one event or both. By participating in this Dental Risk Management seminar, you can earn 4 continuing education credits and may be eligible for a  7.5% risk management premium credit* for the next three policy renewals. If you attend the 2 hour OSHA and Infection Control in the Post-Pandemic Era course, you will receive 2 continuing education credits.

Cancellations received on September 17th and after will receive 1/2 of the registration fee.

Insureds who have less than 18 months remaining on their 3-year premium credit may take courses for CE credit and to extend their 3-year premium credit period. Insureds who have more than 18 months remaining on their 3-year premium credit may take courses for CE credit only. No extension of the 3-year premium credit period will be made.
