Reassessing your healthcare during a pandemic-no time like the present

There has been many unforeseen changes in 2020.  Healthcare has become an essential part of the puzzle. Offering employee benefits, such as group health, can eliminate anxiety among your employees.

Many health plans include access to telehealth or telemedicine services. You can talk to a board-certified doctor from anywhere at anytime by phone, video, or mobile app! Some also offer the opportunity to connect with behavioral therapists or dermatologists.

Technology has allowed us to get routine care without ever leaving your home. Telehealth can save you time and money when you need help for certain minor medical issues.

There are instances where going to the emergency room is necessary, such as:

  • Symptoms of a heart attack
  • Signs of a stroke
  • Bleeding that won’t stop
  • Major injuries, such as broken bones or head trauma

Going to the ER is costly and also a drain on medical resources that may be needed to tend to patients with more pressing concerns. Urgent care is a great alternative for nonemergency situations, such as cuts, scrapes, sprains, or muscle strains. But urgent care can put a strain on your wallet, too.

That’s where telehealth comes in. It’s a great way to get treatment for minor conditions such as:

  • Allergies
  • Arthritis pain
  • Asthma
  • Bronchitis
  • Colds and flu
  • Headaches/migraines
  • Infections
  • Rashes
  • Respiratory infections
  • Sinuses
  • Sore throats

Putting off doctor’s appointment can lead to larger problems down the line.  Make sure your employees remain healthy and continue doctoring when needed.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, pandemics can be stressful. Fear and Anxiety can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children.
